Desired Job Profile
  • As Finance Coordinator you will be responsible for a range of bookkeeping responsibilities as well as providing support on finance and project budget management functions. Carrying out and recording relevant financial transactions as well as coordinating the financial coding of these transactions will all be part of your daily routine. You will oversee the maintenance and reconciliation of bank records. Below is the overall but not limited to scope of the role.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Cash transactions
  • Keep on eye on pettycash vouchers & balance
  • Check all vouchers and signed
  • Timely entries of cash transactions in Tally ERP 9
Bank Transactions
  • Keep eye on pettycash vouchers & payment and maintain record for each
  • Process payments including salaries and reimbursements to staff members, consultants, temporary employees, other claimants and external contracts.
  • Timely entries of all bank related  transactions in Tally ERP 9
  • Prepare cheques and documents for any transactions from Atma
Reporting & documentation
  • Ensure all documents and records are filed in an orderly, transparent and efficient manner.
  • Prepare financial reports and analysis for presentation to Donors, Senior Management, Board meetings and staff meetings as per request.
  • Prepare Bank reconciliation reports and expense statements
  • Prepare finance data for Grant Applications whenever needed
  • Support to prepare and produce annual budgets for Atma
  • Support to create budget for donors,
  • Prepare and update forecasts and expenditure statements on a monthly/quarterly basis or as required
  • Monitor expenditure against budget
  • Advise Management on budget status, finance situation and requirements
  • Primary Contact point for Auditors
  • Managing Annual Financial Audits with Auditor
  • Ensure financial audit is conducted as per legal requirements and as per donor specifications
Statutory Compliance & other requirements
  • Deduction of TDS on Staff salaries
  • Quarterly TDS returns
  • PT payment & Return
  • EPF Deduction & monthly return
  • Time to time KYC update of all members in EPF account
  • Ensure all receipts and payments are in accordance with financial rules and regulations and according to the contracts signed;
  • Legal Registration and documentation of 12A, 80G and Amendment of MOA
  • Ensure all statutory compliances are met and maintain a compliance calendar with I.T., ROC and Home ministry.
  • Ensure all compliances of Charity Commissioner (Change Report etc)
Policies & Management
  • Establish effective financial procedures & systems and orient staff on all major financial policies and updates
  • Develop a financial policy manual in order to ensure that all financial matters meet with finance and audit standards.
  • Update policies as necessary
  • Providing technical support to partner organisations particularly in designing accounting systems and orienting them on the use of accounting package and managing day to day financial administration and legal advice for registration and budgeting and cash flow.
  • Monitoring and accounting of Chapter accounts
  • Graduate in Finance or Accountacy or a relevant degree


Minimum Experience
  • Experience working at a chartered accountancy firm or accounts department of a corporate/ organisation
  • Profiecieny in accounting softwares
