Purpose of the Role:
  • To organizes various certificate courses, policy meets, seminars, competitions, festivals and colloquia to engage people with social and economic issues through an understanding of public policy. The organization offer a wide range of very exciting and diverse programs for a wide range of audiences including college students, journalists, MPs, bureaucrats, academicians and filmmakers.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Major Functions:
  • Developing new ideas for programs, introducing new learning methodologies, and innovating on content depending on programme objectives and evaluations.
  • Managing programs like seminars, dialogues, policy meets and colloquia.
  • Managing associates, and volunteers working with the team.
  • Overall programme coordination including programme planning, monitoring & evaluation.
  • Improvising constantly and changing methods and content depending on feedback and personal experience.
  • Driving content and training for delivery through digital modes
  • Prospecting for and establishing mentoring relationships with graduate students to provide them with intellectual and career guidance.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with current and possible faculty
  • Donor management and relationship building with colleges, NGO’s, corporates and the media
  • Developing & strengthening alumni network
  • Represent the organization at various forums in speaking/panel/expert or invited role
  • As a member of the Senior Leadership team there will be responsibilities related to organisatiponal strategy, sustainability fund raising
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Ensuring that:
  • All programmes are run efficiently and deliver on metrics
  • Programmes are self sustaining financially
  • Quality of content and programmes set the benchmark
  • Content is constantly improved and up to date
  • Newer methodologies, technologies, channels are continuously integrated
  • Training programmes are engaging and learning outcomes are being delivered
  • Team is engaged and experiences growth
  • Donors are satisfied and positively inclined to renew
  • Relationships with the ecosystem of colleges, NGOs, corporates, media is robust
  • A clear strategy for the future is articulated and executed
  • The alumni network is active in furthering the organization’s mission
  • The organization’s point of view is presented well when in an organisational representational role
  • Any organisation wide project that is assigned is delivered on plan
  •  Degree in Social Sciences/Management/Education
Minimum Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in leading teams and managing financials
  • Minimum 5 years work experience in conceptualizing, coordinating and managing events, workshops and seminars
  • Experience in facilitation design, content creation for training and training delivery is useful
  • Ability to identify and understand the changing nature of the audience and constantly driving innovation to deliver impact
  • Ability to run a unit as a self financing entity with clear lines of income generation and expenditure management
  • Ability to develop realistic plans, action steps and timetables for projects and assignments
  • Knowing how to monitor performance of multiple ongoing projects and delivering on commitments
  • Ability to identify and proactively develop meaningful relationships with the ecosystem
  • Ability to think strategically about the business and mission
  • Ability to set quality benchmarks and drive adherence to standards
  • Understanding and being able to drive application of evolving technologies for training
  • Expert level skills in oral and written communication to external and internal audiences, one-on-one and public
  • Full proficiency in English and Hindi
  • Demonstrated ability of leading as a mentor
  • Ability to seamlessly move between different styles of managing people – directive to supportive
  • Ability to thrive in diversity – of thought, people, issues
  • Being a constant learner
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations and in making decisions, often with incomplete information
